The Route:

On June 6, 2015, runner Kathryn Lindquist departed Sainte-Mère-Église, Normandy, France at 2:30pm, bound for the Eagle’s Nest in Berchtesgaden, Germany. Lindquist became the first person to successfully cover this route since the men of the Band of Brothers from Camp Toccoa did so from 1944 – 1945.

Below is a comprehensive list detailing the route:

Week One 06/06/15 through 06/13/15, began in France in Sainte-Mère-Église and stopped in Sainte-Mare-du-Mont, Carentan, Gefosse-Fontenay (via all D-Day beachheads), Colleville-sur-Mer, Manvieux, Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer, Benouville, ending in Angerville.

Week Two 06/14/15 through 06/20/15, departed Angerville and passed through Blangy-le-Chateau, Boissey-le-Chatel, Saint-Aubin-le-Elbeuf, Donville-sur-Andelle, La Feuillie, and end in Haute-Epine.

Week Three 06/21/15 through 06/27/15, departed Breteuil and passed through MontdidierRoye, Matigny, Saint-Quentin, and ending in Guise.

Week Four 06/28/15 through 07/04/15, departed Guise and passed through Buironfosse, Ohain, Baileux, Treignes, Tellin, ending in Saint Hubert and enter Belgium, stopping in Bastogne.

Week Five 07/05/15 through 07/11/15, departed Nothum and pass through Ettelbruck, Altrier, and Wasserliesch and entered Germany via Schondorf, Hermeskeil, ending in Freisen.

Week Six 07/12/15 through 07/18/15, departed Freisen and passed through Matzenbach, Rodenbach, Frankenstein, Neustadt, Hanhofen, ending in Sankt-Leon-Rot.

Week Seven 07/19/15 through 07/25/15, departed Sankt-Leon-Rot and pass through Hillsbach, Leingarten, Lowenstein, Murrhardt, Mittelbronn, Aalen, ending in Nattheim.

Week Eight 07/26/15 through 08/01/15, departed from Nattheim and pass through Morslingen, Biberbach, Igenhausen, Wollomoos, Dachau and Munich.

Week Nine 08/02/15 through 08/08/15, departed from Munich and pass through Kirchseeon, Edling, Chiemsee, Teisendorf, Bischofswisen before reaching the town of Berchtesgaden and then climbed to the Eagle’s Nest (Kehlsteinhaus) for the conclusion of Run For Currahee.
